There were these metal racks just stacked at the scrap yard. I like how they looked with a shallow DOF. Although I shot this with color film, I thought it looked better in B&W. Almost done with images from the metal scrap yard.

Very simple and neat composition!
The DoF and bokeh are fabulous here
very creative play with selective focus
A DoF that makes me cheer out loud. An adorable composition, Otto!
All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
The selective focus with shallow depth of field works wonderfully here, creating a nice abstract effect. You are right, the color version probably would have been too distracting, but the b & w version is perfect.
Oh, yes. With that DoF they look great.
this drew me right in!
great shot!
Yeah, this looks like one of those images that was made for mono. Nice shot. Love that shallow DOF.
The sharp area of focus clues us in to the nature of the abstraction in the rest of the picture. It looks very good in BW.
Almost like a machine in action.
Excellent !
very creative shot, DOF, light …
exceptional. still in awe of your photos like this one from film. i like the greyscale too.
Excellent narrow DoF. And it works so well in monochrome.
Works great in B/W! Love the shallow dof here
Thanks, all.
Terrific DOF. Such a wonderful and intriguing image.
excellent DOF … !
Very very simple good photo Otto!
the bokehs and the shallow depth of field makes it so beautiful!
Unusual and spectacular. Nice!
Have a nice day.
I’m not sure why, but strangely this has a futuristic feel to it. I think it has to do with the bokeh and how it lines up and gives a sort of sense of motion.
really subtle! the blur makes us lose all sense of height!
Man, medium format Depth of field is insane. Nice shot! You’re making me want to dust off my old mamiya kit.
