On to a new, probably lengthy, series. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the Miller Theater in nearby Augusta, Georgia. Opened in 1940, the Miller Theater was designed by architect Roy A. Benjamin in the Arte Moderne style, complete with glass blocks and curved neon marquee. Three Faces of Eve had its world premiere at the Miller Theater on September 18, 1957. Due to the decline of downtown Augusta in the early to mid 1980s, the theater closed and has sat empty ever since. Over the years, the theater had been damaged by the elements, and was on the verge of being condemned. It was bought by a local businessman in 2005 and is currently being targeted as the home of the Augusta Symphony.

Right around the new year, I went for a walk around my neighborhood and then along a nearby road, taking my Holga 120N for a spin. This is in my neighborhood, shooting across the back of a closed bar, seeing the side of Azar, a liquor store.

Recently, I pulled from the shelf one of my Holgas that I hadn\’t used in a couple of years. It had partially used film in it. I took the film out before using it again. This was one of the few images on the roll and I\’m not sure when or where I took it.
