We rode up high one evening and got a view of some of the landscape that we had been riding through.

An awesome hidden canyon.

it took thousands or maybe millions of years for nature to draw that curve
and it takes a fraction of a second to photograph it
(well, i know working the scene takes more time, but i just wanted to dramatize it :)

What a gorgeous view. Love the little trickle running through the crevasse.
And I really like the green/blue overtones of this film/processing.

A fine view into this well carved canyon. It's staggering to think of the time it took to erode this canyon into its present depth. I like the deep shadows which contrast so well with the sunlit portion nearby. Nice one.

Cool shot! This reminds me of being a kid and the hikes we used to take...areas that look like this.

"And for the first time, he wished to be far away. Lost in a deep, vast country where nobody knew him. Somewhere without language or streets. He dreamed about this place without knowing its name." (Sam Shepard for Paris, Texas by Wim Wenders)
Nothing better than seeing the traces of time. The feel of past & future so close to each other. Great photograph, Otto! All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.

Looks like something out of an old western movie. Wouldn't you hate to have to trek your way through that country to survive?
